Essex Seminar

Dr Anderson accepted an invitation from the University of Essex to speak about transarithmetic and the perspex machine on Friday 27 February, 2006. Over lunch he discussed the temporal properties of the perspex machine. In the afternoon he toured the Computer Science laboratories. He was impressed by the powered floor for robotics. It is the largest powered floor in the world. It is circular, with an area of one hundred square metres. It is supplied with an overhead camera for tracking and has an observational gallery at the height of the second floor with ground-floor access for researchers. It is an excellent venue for demonstrating mobile robots.
