Hand Computation

A chapter on Pencil and Paper Methods has been added to the book Transmathematics which explains how to carry out transreal computations by hand. The chapter contains proofs of the efficacy of the methods and shows how to test the adequacy of alternative methods. There is a brief discussion of how to stratify the teaching of mathematics so as to achieve one of three goals: the teaching of ordinary mathematics which outlaws division by zero, the teaching of ordinary mathematics so that it does not obstruct division by zero, and the teaching of division by zero as an explicit part of transarithmetic.
