Darlington BCS Seminar

Dr Anderson will give a presentation on division by zero and how it can be used to make computer arithmetic more efficient and safer. Participants in the seminar will learn how to divide by zero and will have the opportunity to try out transreal and transcomplex arithmetic on a computer. The main focus of the seminar will be a discussion of how to exploit transreal arithmetic in a high performance computer.

The seminar is organised by Darlington BCS and will take place in the Blackwell Grange Hotel, starting at 6.30 p.m. on Wednesday 24 November 2010.
