Venturefest (Oxford) 2009

Dr Anderson will give a presentation at Venturefest (Oxford) 2009. Over 1,000 investors, innovators and entrepreneurs from across the UK are expected at this one day meeting on 29th June. Dr Anderson will speak about disruptive computing technologies at 2.30 in the innovation stream.

Disruptive technologies are the most exciting. They provide opportunities for new entrants to make a lot of money. The discovery, in 1997, of how to divide, arithmetically, by zero, threatens to disrupt the computer industry. It makes total computers possible that have no error states, other than physical failures. This makes them much faster than conventional computers. It also makes total software possible that never crashes on a software error.
